    Question

A temporary move request for a course reserve items auto-populates the due back date on the create
    request page to 12/31/1969.

This happens when the Reading List has been copied from a past course. If the Reading List was newly created It uses the same date as the course end date and the due back date for the reading list.

    Answer

The solution for now is to populate the end date in the Reading List (!). The course's end date is still in the future, no need to change.

This is a data migration issue,
