Problem Symptoms-
* API query is resulting in "Daily account plan limit exceeded" error
* In Developer Network the API key is labeled as "unlimited"
* API Plan is set to read/write for your production environment

Cause-
* The "unlimited" label is not accurate, this is a known issue.
* API daily call threshold might be set too low
* API usage should be set to "500 API calls per number of named user licenses per day"

* Open a case with Support
