    Symptoms

When we browse for Library of Congress call numbers/classifications, the results list shows first all headings from 050 $$a.

The combined values from 050 $$a and 050 $$b are listed at the end of the list.

    Defect Status

This is a known issue and will be fixed in the future.

    Replication Steps

Browse Bibliographic Headings for Call Number/Classifications with source code = Library of Congress Call Number.

    Search for a value combined from 050 $$a and 050 $$b, e.g. $$a HG406 $$b .R678 > HG4026 .R678

The results list will first display headings including both values in 050 $$a = HG406.R678

The combined headings from both subfields will be listed at the end.

    Workaround

You can use the double-dagger sign (ǂ) as a separator if the search value is from different subfields.

    Example: HG4026ǂ.R678
