Calendar configuration for Opening Hours not kicking in. Why?

    •

    • Question

    • Adding new semester or any other change in the Opening Hours for the library should impact loans due date, TOUs, etc.

    • Why won't the new calendar kick in?

    • Answer

    • Remember to click "Apply Changes" after saving the new calendar. See button: http://screencast.com/t/lXlzGzocmK

    Question

How to enable new Opening Hours, Exceptions, Events in the Calendar to apply? Currently loans and renewals are not impacted by the change.

    Answer

First be sure to have clicked "Apply Changes" after any modification of the Opening Hours table.

Secondly, to apply retroactively, enable the job "Loans - Due Date Correction after Calendar Change". It will review all existing loans and adjust due dates.

This may trigger "Change Due Date" emails to users, if the letter is enabled.
