Delete Location which has items in temporary location

Question

Trying to delete a Location, get error, noting that items/holdings are still attached to it.

However, this location only has items in temporary location, it is not assigned as a permanent location to any record.

How to overcome this issue?

This question is handled by the development team.

In the meantime, a customer found a solution:

I ended up running a job process to *change* the temporary location to one of our valid locations that we don't plan on deleting. The temporary locations remain inactive, I just moved them to a random valid location where they will never be activated as a temporary location. Once I did that, I could delete the unwanted location.

More solutions shared by the same customer, when deleting another location:

When trying to delete holdings and items, using the "Withdraw Items" job did not help in cleanup.
Running the "Delete Bibliographic Records" job enabled to delete the unwanted old location.

Warning: please be sure that this will only delete the needed bib records!
