    Question

Fulfillment > Physical Fulfillment > Advanced Policy Configuration > Maximum Fine policy type > Value Type: None, Other. What is the difference? At what instance each type should be selected?

    Answer

When Value type is defined as None, there is no maximum fine, i.e. fine will be calculated with no limitations. This type of value type is defined if the library does not want to set limits on fines.
When Value Type is defined as Other, Alma demands Value definition. This Value definition controls a limit of a fine that will be calculated. For example, if Value Type = Other and Value = 500, maximum amount of fine will not be more than 500.0. This type of value type is defined if the library wants to limit maximum amount that can be calculated.
