Question

How can I disable (have no longer appear) a line in an Alma email letter?
For example how can I make “Sincerely” no longer appear in the letter “Borrowing Activity Letter - Patron Circulation Summary”

Answer

One way in which you can disable the appearance of the line “Sincerely” (or any other lines) is as follows:
1. Alma menu > General > General Configuration > Configuration Menu > General Configuration > Customize Letters
2. Select the line with “Ful User Borrowing Activity Letter” and do “customize”
3. Make the following change
Change this
<table>
<tr><td>@@sincerely@@</td></tr>
<tr><td>@@department@@</td></tr>
</table>
To this
<table>
<!-- <tr><td>@@sincerely@@</td></tr> -->
<tr><td>@@department@@</td></tr>
</table>

Additional Information

Important note:
Please note that Enable/Disable column is not functional for letters!

1. Alma menu > General > General Configuration > Configuration Menu > General Configuration > Letter Emails > choose Borrowing Activity Letter
2. Click the yellow check next to “Sincerely” so that it is disabled
3. You will still get the ”sincerely” in the letter

You need to take out the relevant line directly out of the XSL as described above.
