    Question

How to block users from placing a resource sharing (interlibrary loan) request with a partner using NCIP protocol? Today for example this can be Relais, E-ZBorrow (EZBorrow), Clio, InnReach.

    Answer

To our knowledge in support, in order to not enable the user to be authenticated at the partner side, the User record in Alma needs to be "inactive". NCIP will look only for "active" users (i.e. status of user is "active"). Note that the third party, e.g. E-ZBorrow, should have INACTIVE configured for the institution. Once enabled this, Users whose status in Alma is "Inactive" are not allowed go log in.
