How can I change the date in my holding template in the Metadata Editor?

Answer

In order to change the date in the 008 to autogenerate the date in which the holding is created, please try the following steps.

1. Go to Resources menu > Cataloging > Open Metadata Editor > Templates > Holdings.

2. Find the template you want to change > open the template > find the 008 > Click Actions menu (...) > or Ctrl F > to Open Form Editor.

3. Find the Date entered on file (0-5) > enter: ###### > Save template.

4. Log out, then log back into Alma to see the updated changes.
