    Question

How do I create a new purchase order line when ordering a second copy of an e-book?

    Answer

When ordering a second copy of an ebook, one option is to add a new invoice line connected to an existing PO line as described in the presentation How to order a second copy of an e-book (suggested method)

Alternately, sometimes libraries need to create a new PO line (e.g. when orders are created in external systems like GOBI) and these are the steps:

    1. Conduct an Electronic Portfolios search for the resource for which you want to order an additional copy
    2. Select Additional Order from the actions list
    3. Enter order information as you would for any other order you create manually

Additional orders do not create new portfolios.

The Order Type "Electronic Book - One Time" is not currently available when placing additional orders. If you are interested in this functionality please see the idea posted in the Ideas Exchange.
