    Question

Many of our records are tagged "Don't Publish", but we would like to publish them to OCLC. The reverse situation exists too - need to delete records in batch from OCLC. Is there a job to force publishing, and flip the "Export to WorldCat" Management Tags?

    Answer

To force a change to the "Export to WorldCat" Management Tags:

    1. Create an "All Titles" or "Physical Titles" Set
    2. Go to: Admin > Run a Job > select one of these jobs:
      1. Set Management Tags, or:
      2. Synchronize Bib records with external catalog
    3. Decide if to flag the records as "Don't Publish", "Publish holdings only", or "Publish bibliographic records"
    4. Run this first job.
    5. To send a file to OCLC's FTP server, proceed to the next step:
    6. Go to Admin > Run a Job > choose either "Bib OCLC Republish Set of Titles", or "Holding OCLC Republish Set of Titles", depending your requirements.
