    Question

Loan of several items for the same title for one patron should be blocked. The block preference under >Configuration >Fulfillment >Physical Fulfillment >Block Preferences is set to BLOCK for "Item of the same title is already on loan for this patron. Parallel loan is prohibited" but loaning another item for the same title is not avoided. How to avoid loaning an item for the same title?

    Answer

Parameter "Reloan Limit" in the according terms of use should not be set to "None" but to "Parallel - the patron may not check out two copies of the same title at one time" or to "Other".

In terms of use you define that there is "a limit" and on the block preferences you determine what should happen when the "limit" is reached. Apart from "Block" you could there also choose e.g. "Override".
