The following error was received while using POST method to create a digital representation via API:

"<errorMessage>Request failed: It is not possible to add Digital Representations for a record which is not assigned to a collection.</errorMessage>"

What does it mean?

Answer

The Alma July 2016 release introduces a new feature which prevents adding representations to unassigned bibliographic records by the API. When an API attempts to add a representation to unassigned bibliographic records the error message (Request failed: It is not possible to add Digital Representations for a record which is not assigned to a collection.) is returned.
