Question

Currently when activating EZproxy on an electronic package we have to:
1) change "Proxy enabled" to "yes"
2) select our proxy from the dropdown menu

We (and many many other libraries) only have a single proxy configured, so selecting one seems redundant. Moreover, when configuring the proxy we had the opportunity to configure it as a default.

It would make sense and save time if the dropdown menu was automatically prepopulated with the proxy we configured as the default. We could then change it if needed but generally wouldn't need to so could save a step here.

Answer

By not choosing a proxy the default behaviour is to use the default, and this is by design.
In other words: You only need to choose "yes" for "Electronic Collection Proxy Enable" and leave the "Electronic Collection Proxy Selected" empty - this will automatically choose the default proxy.
