    Question

How to rename a library in Alma?

    Answer

Renaming a library means changing its Organization Unit name.

In Alma, this is done via Configuration Menu > General > Libraries > Add a Library or Edit Library Information. Go to the "Libraries" tab, look up the relevant library, and click Actions > Edit. Changes to the Organization unit name take effect immediately all over Alma and in the Get It tab in Primo after saving the changes.

Additionally, Primo code tables/delivery/library names need to be adjusted to reflect the changes in made in Alma. This can be done in the Primo institution wizard on page 1. You will need to save & deploy all changes in the institution wizard. For more info, see Editing a Library.
