System marking requested items missing

Why are items being marked as missing by the system when the library is closed?
Answer
When an Item is not placed on the Hold Shelf by the date indicated in the "item needed by" date in Primo, the Requests - Handle Expiration Step job changes the item's status to missing.
Additional Information
A typical cause of this is patrons that set "item needed by" too close to the current date.
