What is the browser support for Alma?
Google Chrome™, Mozilla® Firefox® and Microsoft© Internet Explorer©. (see below for details)
NOTE: Working in multiple tabs of the same browser with Alma and Primo is not recommended.
Browser Display Resolutions and Other Requirements
- *Minimum recommended monitor size is 17”; 19” is preferable.
- *Minimum required resolution is 1024x768 (1280*800 recommended).

Ex Libris makes every effort to test and support the two most recent browser versions for Microsoft© Internet Explorer© when its industry usage is over 20% of all versions of the browser, and as long as these versions are still supported by Microsoft®.
Ex Libris makes every effort to test and certify the most recent and stable version of Firefox on an on-going basis. In addition, Mozilla offers an Extended Support Release (ESR) based on the official release of Firefox for desktops for use by organizations, including schools, universities, businesses and others who need extended support for mass deployments. Ex Libris makes every effort to test and certify the latest ESR version, after the overlap period between the older and newer ESR version is over.
Test and support the most recent stable version.
NOTE: Google Chrome™ applies updates automatically.
For staff users, Alma certifies browsers whose total usage (across all versions) exceeds 20% for a certain time, based on industry usage statistics.
Browser certification for Alma Analytics may not be as updated as browser certification for Alma (since Alma Analytics is using Oracle OBIEE).
