    Description

For a new lending request, a staff user creates a move request, in order to move the item from its shelving location to the resource sharing department.

However, when scanning in the item, the move request is not found. There is a screen message that there might be related requests, but the item is not automatically attached to the move request.

    Resolution

The cause might be that a manual description was added when creating the move request.

The manual description is intended to match the item description. In some cases, customers mistakenly believed that a note could be entered in this place. This note did obviously not match the item description, and so the system failed to find a match between the item and the move request.
