Why does Analytics display a “Null” value for Portfolio Auto Active/Delete when Alma is set to “No”?

Question
Why does Analytics display a “Null” value for Portfolio Auto Active/Delete when Alma is set to “No”?
Answer
In addition to the “Yes” and “No” setting there is a third setting “Not Set”. If no option is selected, it will display as “No” in Alma, and “Null” in Analytics. The “Null” value is necessary for CDI collections that do not have portfolios. The “No” setting and the “Not Set” setting effectively work the same.
For Analytics to display “No”, in the service simply select “Save” this works as if a selection was made; re-indexing will also cause a selection to be made. It is also possible to change/activate the setting in bulk by using the “Change Electronic Collection information” job.
Additional Information
Tips for creating Analytics reports:
-
Electronic Collection Type Description/Code should be filtered so it does not include type “Database”
-
Electronic Collection Linked to CZ should be “is equal to/is in”
-
Number of Portfolios should be Greater than “1”
-
Portfolios/Collections should have a life cycle of “Active”
Note:
-
Auto Active setting is not available for collections that are not linked to the Community Zone, or Local Collections or Database Collections. It will display as Null in Analytics.
