    Question

Why is it that, when cancelling a POL for an e-resource, the POL status is "not activated e-resource" but the resource is still active?

    Answer

This is the expected behavior for the system - Activating and Ordering electronic resources are done separately in Alma:
Activation is the process of making a resource discoverable and accessible to end-users.
Ordering is the process of acquiring the resource from the vendor (and includes creating the POL).
Therefore, the order cancellation and resource deactivation are also done separately.

Cancelling the POL does not automatically deactivate the electronic resource. Once the POL is cancelled, it is no longer connected to an active e-resource, and its activation status becomes "Not activated E-Resource".
This does not affect the actual e-resource activation - it still needs to be deactivated.
