    Why does the metadata editor not allow save and release?

    Problem Symptoms:
    When editing either bibliographic or holding records in the Alma metadata editor, records will not release - the progress bar hangs after a few moments.

    Cause:
    One of the causes of this may be an issue with the normalization or validation process.

    Please open a support case.
