January 2020 Sneak Preview
The features below are currently planned for the next release. However, some of these features may, for various reasons, not be included in this month's release, but rather in a future Alma release.
DARA
- DARA Updates - The manual/bulk dismissal of recommendations will be improved; you will be able to configure which roles are relevant for which DARA recommendations; a visual indication on DARA actions will display the number of open recommendations in the header.
Resource Management
- New Parameter for MD Import - The MD import will include a new parameter that controls whether local extensions will be added to records.
- Management of Community Zone Sets - In continuation to recent developments relating to the management of Community Zone sets, the January release will include the possibility to export a Community Zone set. In addition, API's will support working with Community Zone sets.
Digital Resource Management
- JP2000 Thumbnail Generation - Alma will automatically generate thumbnails for all the high resolution JPEG2000 images in your digital repository.
- Download original file in UV - The advanced Universal Viewer will provide the option to download the original high-resolution image, in addition to the existing option of a lower resolution derivative.
