New OCLC Connexion Format Parameter
See Importing Records from OCLC Connexion for more information.
Additional Resource Management Enhancements
- For the SRU integration profile, when the conversion from the original record's format to the requested format is unavailable, Alma now returns the original record.
- The ZDB matching method was removed when configuring an import profile. The 035 (Other System Identifier) method should be used instead.
- For a predefined list of sites (maintained by Ex Libris), administrators can disable compression for an FTP connection used by a general publishing profile. After selecting FTP and one of the defined sites, select Disable file compression on the Publishing Profile Details page. The Compressed file extension field is removed from the page (since the extension is not used for this profile). The sites are ftp.exlibris.co.il and scp.oclc.org.Publishing Profile Details Page
- In the MD Editor, when cataloging spaces in the 010 or 035 fields, you must now use the hash sign (#) for each space that you want to insert, rather than entering a space. Spaces appear as hash signs (#) in the MD Editor, although they are saved by Alma as spaces.
