360 KB: Gale Interactive Databases: Titles Will Be Removed -- December 2022
What is happening to Gale Interactive databases?
ProQuest currently has title-level information for Gale Interactive from provider Gale in the Knowledgebase. These databases do not contain cover-to-cover full text.
In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on the Knowledgebase collection policy), all titles will be removed from Gale Interactive databases in the Knowledgebase on December 23, 2022. The databases will become zero-titles databases.
Affected databases are:
DB Code | Database Name |
---|---|
AIXEN | Gale Interactive: Chemistry |
BCGST | Gale Interactive: Human Anatomy |
AGJBV | Gale Interactive: Science |
This means that these databases (and their titles) will not be available to your patrons who use the E-Journal Portal or 360 Link, and you won't receive MARC updates for these databases. However, these databases will still be available for 360 Search, 360 Counter, 360 Resource Manager, Intota, and the Summon™ service.
Actions you may need to take:
- If you are a 360 Resource Manager, 360 Counter, or Intota client, you may need to make some changes to your account settings before December 23, 2022:
