    What is happening to a number of video collections from Alexander Street Press?

    Certain collections from Alexander Street Press are no longer available, as they are instead being provided via regional collections, or in some cases already existing collections are being redefined.  

    In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on the Knowledgebase collection policy), these zero-title databases have been hidden with immediate effect. New, regional zero-title collections are available; see below for old and new database names and codes:

    What is happening to the name of database Underground and Independent Comics, Comix, and Graphic Novels?

    The database Underground and Independent Comics, Comix, and Graphic Novels from the provider Alexander Street Publishing had been renamed by the provider.

    Therefore, we will be changing the database name in the Knowledgebase. The content of the database, and the database ID 719 will remain the same.

    This change will take effect on : 5/1/2018

    • Before 5/1/2018: Underground and Independent Comics, Comix, and Graphic Novels
    • After 5/1/2018: Underground and Independent Comics, Comix, and Graphic Novels: Volume 1

     

    What is happening to the name of database Underground and Independent Comics, Volume 2?

    The database Underground and Independent Comics, Volume 2 from the provider Alexander Street Publishing had been renamed by the provider.

    Therefore, we will be changing the database name in the Knowledgebase. The content of the database, and the database ID AAUJW, will remain the same.

    This change will take effect on 5/1/2018:

    • Before 5/1/2018: Underground and Independent Comics, Volume 2
    • After 5/1/2018: Underground and Independent Comics, Comix, and Graphic Novels: Volume 2

     

     

     

    Action you need to take:

    • Update the holdings in your Intota or Client Center profile by subscribing to the new database instead of the old database.  For information on how to update your profile, and considerations prior to removing the old database from your profile:
      • Intota users click here.
      • Client Center users click here.
    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds direct URLs or database specific information to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after [effective date].
