SpringerNature Journal Title Deletions in Alma CZ - 2023 Update

Several years ago, titles were deleted across various SpringerNature journal collections. For details see: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/...ons_in_Alma_CZ

We worked closely with our colleagues at SpringerNature to address deleted title issues and resolve them but some remain unresolved.

Specifically, titles/portfolios for historical title entries, previous titles, and title splits/merges were deleted from the SpringerLink Journals collections as part of the content update process in 2020.  After extensive work and collaboration by the Provider Relations and Content Operations teams, we concluded that it will not be possible for Ex Libris to provide a solution for the Historical titles in the SpringerNature collections.

Manually inserting historical titles and altering thresholds will not fix the metadata/coverage mismatch, and would cause problems for our autoloader update systems.
In addition, SpringerNature has asked that Ex Libris not alter the metadata.

Ex Libris has supplied Springer with a mapping of all of the problematic titles reported by our mutual customers.
Springer is continuing to work to revise their title lists, but there is no concrete timeline for when this work will be completed.
