    Bloomsbury Collections platform: URLs not working after platform migration

    Bloomsbury Collections (Bloomsbury's main platform, for ebook content) had a platform migration on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. During this migration, the DOI URLs used by Ex Libris products broke, as they do not point to the new platform. Unfortunately, since we use DOI-based URLs for all of Bloomsbury content, we do not have a syntax to update to the new platform. Bloomsbury are simultaneously doing two things to address this issue: 

    1. Bloomsbury are updating the registration of DOIs with CrossRef to point to the new location as quickly as possible.

    2. Bloomsbury will implement redirects between the old platform and the new platform, which should be available by Friday, July 28.

    Between these two fixes, URLs should be working again shortly. The CrossRef registrations may see some titles' URLs fixed earlier than others. We will update this article as soon as we have more information. 

    August 1st update:

    The issue has been fixed, and Bloomsbury links are resolving properly.
