Direct Linking configurations for Alma and Primo

Question
What changes should I make in Alma and Primo to enable direct linking?
Answer
Alma
Navigate to Alma Configuration > Fulfillment > Discovery Interface Display Logic > Direct Linking:
- Set "Enable direct linking" to "Yes"
- If "Enable direct linking when multiple services are available" is selected and a resource has multiple available services, the Full Text Available link will go to the first service in the list
- Direct Linking can be conditionally disabled if additional information is available:
- Authentication note
- Public note
- Direct Linking can also be selectively disabled for:
- Electronic collections
- Journals
- Digital Resources
Primo
Navigate to the GetIT! Link 1 Configuration mapping table and click edit
Primo Home > Advanced Configuration > All Mapping Tables
- In the Delivery Category Code* column search for the records delivery category code
- Delivery Category Code can be found in the Delivery section of the PNX
- <delcategory>Alma-E
- The other Delivery Category codes are Remote Search Resource or Remote Search Resource:Alma
- Delivery Category Code can be found in the Delivery section of the PNX
- The Availability Status Code* column will vary depending on the Delivery Category Code.
- Alma-E, Availability Status code is "not_restricted"
- there will be two other Availability Status Codes that read may_be_restricted and restricted
- Remote Search Resource or Remote Search Resource:Alma, Availability Status code is fulltext
- Alma-E, Availability Status code is "not_restricted"
- The Availability/ Service link should read "Out@@activate"
