  • Check the “New UI Enabled” box in the Primo BO Institution Wizard
This checkbox will ensure that all deep links, permalinks, and search box searches redirect to the Primo New UI.  This will also ensure that links from external OpenURL Sources will be directed to the New UI Services Page without you having to make any change notifications to your OpenURL-enabled Source providers, like Google Scholar, PubMed, or publisher/vendor databases.

Primo New UI Post-Go Live Checks

  • Check the Primo Search Box on your Library Website
As noted above, Checking the "New UI Enabled" checkbox in the Primo BO Institution Wizard will redirect your search box to the Primo New UI.  However, we recommend checking the search box to make sure it's working correctly, especially if you have done a lot of customizations.  If you are experiencing any issues with the search box after go live, follow the instructions here to create a search box specifically for Primo New UI.
Creating a Search Box With Deep Links to the New UI

  • Check Classic UI Advanced Search Deep Links
As noted above, Checking the "New UI Enabled" checkbox in the Primo BO Institution Wizard will redirect your existing Advanced Search Deep Links to the Primo New UI.  However, you may want to double-check these to make sure they are redirecting correctly.  We also recommend you start using the much simpler method of creating Deep Links for the New UI.  Unlike the Classic UI, there is no special syntax for Deep Links.  All you have to do is perform an Advanced Search using the New UI, and you can use the resulting Primo Search URL as a Deep Link.
