Mappings for Export Actions in Primo VE

    Return to menu

Export actions allow users find material with Primo VE and use its metadata in other systems (such as reference management systems). When a Send To action is invoked, Primo VE maps data fields in Primo VE to data fields used in the target system. This page describes the mapping used for each type of system that is supported by Primo VE.

Export Mappings for the RIS, EasyBib, and EndNote Actions

The RIS, EasyBib, and EndNote export actions map Primo VE fields to RIS tags as described in the table below, which includes the following columns:

    • RIS Tag – The tag to which the value of the PNX field is mapped in the target system

    • PNX Field 1 and PNX Field 2 – Indicates which fields are used to map values from Primo VE to the target system.

    • Multiple Occurrences? – Indicates whether multiple instances of a field will be mapped to the source. If this column is left blank, only one instance of a field is mapped.

    • Normalization Regex – If normalization is needed, this field contains the regular expression <regex> used to extract data from the PNX field and also indicates whether the full value of the PNX field should be mapped if the regular expression returns no result <map?>. This column uses the following format:

      <regex>;<map?>
