Configuring the Display of CDI Records

This section contains the mandatory requirements and recommendations needed to display Central Discovery Index (CDI) e-resources in Primo. For a list of Display PNX field returned for CDI records, see CDI List of Display/PNX Fields.

    Mandatory Requirements for all E-Resources

The following fields must be enabled in the Full Results tile on the Edit Full Details Attributes page in the Primo Back Office:
    • Source – The Source field displays the required data provider name and logo.
    • Identifier – The Identifier field contains all global identifiers (such as ISSN, DOI, and ISBN).
    • Additional Link – The Additional Link field contains a link to the provider’s copyright statement.
CDI also provides back links for some CDI providers, which link back to the original record in the source repository. They are part of the metadata provided by the provider of the collection and are included in the Full display links section regardless of customer full text activations.
