    Implementation and Migration

When migrating, what is involved from the library side?

For Rapido there is no need to upload holding for returnables/physical.

The information is taken from the system and a simple configuration process where the institution defines which resources are available for resource sharing/lending, based on easy criteria such as specifying the locations/material type/item policy.

For document delivery which is handled via the RapidILL, the workflow is to set OAI profiles in Alma that upload the holdings into RapidILL.

    See Rapido configuration prerequisites.

Does Rapido implementation require Primo VE?

Yes. Primo VE is required as part of the Rapido implementation.

How long is a typical Rapido implementation?

In general, implementation of Rapido is straightforward. Implementation support is planned and available for up to three months, though the process may be shorter. Implementation is managed by the Professional Services team.

What training is offered for employees in advance of implementation?

There are many materials offered and made publicly available including videos and online help. See for example, here.

The implementation process also includes various materials.

Are there features/functions that require local developer/programmer time?

All Rapido functions are available out of the box. No local developer or programmer time is required.

Does Rapido come with a Sandbox

Yes. A sandbox is included as part of the deployment of Rapido at your institution.

Will transactions from our previous ILL software be copied to Rapido?

Transactions will not be copied. You will need to close and complete your transactions in the previous system.

    Integrations

    Does Rapido integrate with BSCANILL?

In collaboration with BSCAN, an API was designed to support this integration.

Is Rapido accessibility compliant for both staff and patrons?

Rapido has the same accessibility compliance as other Ex Libris products (e.g. Alma/Primo).
