    Question

The goal is to move the permanent directory location to another storage directory.
The permanent SIPs are already stored under the old directory.
Is it possible to move the stored permanent SIPs to point to the new directory, too?

    Answer

There is no automatic way to change the permanent directory.
This is due to the fact that the file path is listed in the METS and changing the directory requires re-creating the METS.
The recommendation is to ask that local IT create a redirection, so any call to the old location will be redirected to the new one.
