    Question

Is it possible to deposit files without extensions or with characters that appear to be file extensions, but are not (e.g. Word Perfect file name: 96ALUM.REC)?

    Answer

Yes, it's still possible to load these files into Rosetta and extract the techMD as long as the format is valid (jhove doesn’t care about the file extension; or lack of).
Contact the Format Library Working Group (FLWG) to consider adding 96ALUM.REC to the global format library.
