    Question

Where do I go to check the system for startup errors?

    Answer

System checks are used to check essential components needed for running Rosetta properly.
They are executed every time Rosetta is restarted (e.g. manually or via a startup script).
Each system check documented in Chapter 4 [Working with the Rosetta System] of the Rosetta System Administration Guide has a relevant plugin.
These and all plugins are configured in the Administrative module under Home > Plug-In Management > Bundled Tab > Plug-In Type Name: StartUpCheckPlugin

    StartUp-DBChecker   DBChecker
    StartUp-DeliveryWSChecker   DeliveryWSChecker
    StartUp-DepositWSChecker   DepositWSChecker
    StartUp-InvalidObjectChecker  InvalidObjectChecker
    StartUp-PDSChecker   PDSCheckPlugin
    StartUp-PermanentWSChecker  PermanentWSChecker
    StartUp-PluginsChecker   PluginsCheckerPlugin
    StartUp-RepositoryWSChecker  RepositoryWSChecker
    StartUp-SafeModeChecker   SafeModeChecker
    StartUp-SharedFoldersAccessChecker SharedFoldersAccessChecker
    StartUp-SharedFoldersSpaceChecker  SharedFoldersSpaceChecker
    StartUp-StorageAccessChecker  StorageAccessChecker
    StartUp-StorageSpaceChecker  StorageSpaceChecker

To check the Startup Checks Job:

    1. Connect to Rosetta Administrative Module

    2. Go to: Home > General > System Checks

    3. Note if there are errors and what they indicate

    4. If there are no errors when you check, click "Run" to do an ad hoc check

    5. Open a CRM case to Rosetta Support if there is an error message you cannot resolve or don't understand to ask for assistance in troubleshooting

    6. To receive email alerts for Startup Checks Job:

    a. Connect to the Administrative module

    b. Go to Home > Scheduled Jobs Management > Startup Checks Job > Update

    c. For "Send email?" change to "Yes" or On failure only" and enter an individual or group email address (e.g. "libraryIT@library.edu")

    d. Click "Apply" to receive alerts
