DataLoader Report Displays ISBN10 Although Loaded ISBN13

    • Product: SFX
    • Product Version: 4
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct, Direct, Local

    Question

I updated portfolios using the DataLoader. The input file contained ISBN13 as identifier, but the analysis of the data file returned ISBN10 as identifier.

    Why does this happen?

    Answer

    This is the expected behavior.

Since the ISBN is stored in the SFX database is ISBN10, this is the version displayed in the analysis file.

In order to match the ISBN10 to the ISBN13 loaded, use an ISBN converter to convert the ISBN10 to ISBN13.

Alternatively, you can copy the ISBN13 column from the original .txt input file and paste it in the report file.

The data in the report file is in the same order as in the input file. Make sure that the number of ISBN13 rows matches the number of ISBN10 rows.
