    Factiva linking to SFX results in login prompt

    Problem Symptoms:
    When clicking on Factiva link from SFX Menu, user reaches the Factiva login prompt rather than the full text content

    Cause:
    Lack of authentication value in Linking Parameters (L/P) table of Factiva target service

    Resolution:
    According to Factiva, XSID-based authentication is recommended
    * XSID value should be placed in a $$SID field in the L/P table of FACTIVA getFullTxt target service
    * if $$SID value is filled in, other L/P fields for the target service should be empty

    Contact Factiva if XSID value has not yet been provided

    Additional Information

    The XSID value is an encrypted version of Factiva's "username+password+namespace?€? authentication.
