When setting up Gale's Archives Unbound products for use in the Central Discovery Index, avoid using the generic Archives Unbound collection unless your institution has purchased all of the Archives Unbound modules (of which there are over 450 as of November 2023), as this will surface results from all modules that Ex Libris has indexed. 

The generic Archives Unbound collection in the Ex Libris Knowledgebases is: 

If your institution has this collection selected/activated, and you have experience link failures from Archives Unbound records in CDI, it is likely that you have not purchased all of the modules. 

To resolve this issue, you can either: 

• De-activate the generic collection above, and instead activate each Archives Unbound module that your institution has purchased from Gale
• Or, if you wish to continue using the generic collection for ERM purposes only, set the collection specified above to not display results in CDI searches (Alma and 360 KB/Intota users only), then activate each Archives Unbound module that your institution has purchased from Gale.

  • Alma (Fully Flexible)
  • 360 KB (Intota) (see "Discovery Section" and turn Summon discovery to "OFF")
  • 360 KB (Client Center) (see "Display In" section and uncheck "Summon")
