Summon provides the ability to preview an item by providing the user with additional metadata about the item, without having to switch to another page.
Selecting the Preview link at the bottom of a record will generate display of the preview information below the record:

Select Permanent Link to access a persistent link to the item. The link provides an easy way to access the Summon record at a later date via places such as a browser bookmark.
The Permanent Link link can be turned off via the Search Results section of Summon Settings in the administration console; Permalink color can be customized via the Summon 2.0 Customization section of the Settings admin page.
The preview information will remain displayed below the record until the Preview link is clicked again.
