Voyager to Alma Migration Query: Bibliographic Records With Two Or More OCLC Numbers
When migrating from Voyager to Alma, you may want to clean up any bibliographic records that have two or more OCLC numbers. OCLC numbers are the foundation of bibliographic matching and de-duplication. A single bibiographic record should ideally contain only one OCLC control number, and it should be unique.
This query, which can be run using Voyager's Prepackaged Access Reports, will display the BIB_IDs of those records with multiple OCLC numbers:
SELECT Count(BIB_TEXT.BIB_ID) AS [OCLC#Count], BIB_INDEX.BIB_ID, BIB_TEXT.TITLE_BRIEF, BIB_TEXT.AUTHOR
FROM BIB_TEXT INNER JOIN BIB_INDEX ON BIB_TEXT.BIB_ID = BIB_INDEX.BIB_ID
WHERE (((BIB_INDEX.INDEX_CODE)="0350") AND ((BIB_INDEX.NORMAL_HEADING) Like "OCOLC*"))
GROUP BY BIB_INDEX.BIB_ID, BIB_TEXT.TITLE_BRIEF, BIB_TEXT.AUTHOR
HAVING (((Count(BIB_TEXT.BIB_ID))>1));
