    Voyager to Alma Migration Query: Bibliographic Records Without Indexed Titles (245 Fields)

    When migrating from Voyager to Alma, you may want to identify, review and clean up bibliographic records where for whatever reason (and there are many possible reasons) the records can not be searched by title because the indexing of the field was unsuccessful.  For example, the record may be missing the 245 field, or there may be errors in the record's indicators or coding. It would be wise to look at any such records.

    This query, which can be run using Voyager's Prepackaged Access Reports, will display records where the title was not successfully indexed.  These records should be examined and corrected as required.  Note that the output includes the Leader Byte 9, which should be "a" if the record was properly converted to Unicode.

    SELECT BIB_DATA.BIB_ID, Mid([record_segment],10,1) AS LeaderByte9
    FROM BIB_DATA LEFT JOIN
    (SELECT BIB_INDEX.BIB_ID
    FROM BIB_INDEX
    WHERE (((BIB_INDEX.INDEX_CODE)="2450"))) as bi
    ON BIB_DATA.BIB_ID = BI.BIB_ID
    WHERE (((BIB_DATA.SEQNUM)="1") AND ((BI.BIB_ID) Is Null));
