If you don’t have “Show Item on Create” checked for Serials Check-In, items created from receiving on orders or invoices also won’t show on create, even if “Show Item” is checked off in those two areas.
Issue VYG-4453 is still in a Development status.
Go to Acquisitions>Workflows>Item Creation tab and check the “Automatically Create on Receive” and “Show Item on Create” box in the Item Creation for Invoices section, but *not* in the Item Creation for Serials Check-In section.
Create an invoice.
Add a line item to the invoice.
Go to the Detailed Line Item view on the invoice.
Click on the Receive/Mark tab.
Click inside the red box to make the Receive button active.
Click Receive – you’ll see that no item record pops up.
Click the plus signs next to the title information to open up the hierarchy to the copy level, then highlight the copy level – this will make the Item button active.
Click on the Item button – you’ll see that an item record was created upon receipt, it just didn’t pop up (you can also verify this in Cataloging).
If you go back to workflows and check “Automatically Create on Receive” and “Show Item on Create” in the Item Creation for Serials Check-In and repeat this process for a different line item, the item record *will* pop up when created.
