    • Product Version: 7.2.4

    Symptoms

    Sometimes Bursar Transfer writes all fine/fee transactions to SIF file but only updates some Voyager tables; fines/fees are then transferred a second time when the bursar job runs again, creating duplicates in bursar system

    Defect Status

    Issue 16384-19345/VYG-4545 is resolved for Voyager 9.1.1 and higher.

    Replication Steps

    • Run Bursar Transfer: /m1/voyager/xxxdb/sbin/Pbursar -c/m1/voyager/xxxdb/sbin/bursar.cfg -p
      • (-p run in patron mode -- transfer patron totals)
      • Contents of bursar.cfg:

    [CIRC LOCATIONS]
    ALL
    [PATRON GROUPS]
    <valid patron group code>
    <valid patron group code>

    Most times, this completes and transfers patron fines without issue.

    When issue occurs, job writes patron fines/fees to SIF but doesn't update database to reflect transfer. Patron fine/fee totals are written to SIF again the following day, resulting in duplicate fine/fee transfers.
