    Problem Symptoms

"Authority record has status of 'D', 'S' or 'X', written to delete file." appears in the bulk import log when attempting to upload authority records from a delete file.

    Cause

Since the records were previously deleted and/or changed, Voyager has marked an S, D or X in the 05 byte of the Authority leader, causing BulkImport to think these are no longer valid headings.

    Resolution

To import the records with the offending leader, use a Marc editor to change the 05 to "c" or "n" for "changed" or "new".

    Additional Information

http://www.loc.gov/marc/authority/adleader.html explains the leader bytes for Authorities.
