CIRC:if recall renewed item, due date = date MPRI RRI even if MPRI passed

    • Article Type: Known Issue
    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 7.0.1
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct; Direct; Local; Total Care

    Symptoms

    * When item has been renewed, and patron places recall on item, due date is recall date + recall return interval (RRI) + minimum loan period for recall (MPRI) even if passed MPRI since renewal date

    Defect Status

Issue 16384-6738 / VYG-1445 is resolved for Voyager 8.2.1 and higher.

    Replication Steps

    1. System Administration > Circulation > Policy Definitions > {Policy} > Edit > Matrix: for patron group/item type in question, set
minimum loan period for recalled items = 7
    recall return interval = 10
    loan period = 30 days
    2. Circulation > Charge > Charge item to patron A. Note due date.
    3. On due date, have patron A renew item.
    4. When item has passed date of renewal + 7 days (so renewal passed the MPRI)
    5. Patron B places recall on item.
    6. Recalculated due date is date of recall + 17 days (or, date of recall + MPRI + RRI). Due date should be date of recall + 10 days (date of recall + RRI)

    Workaround

    None.
