    Question

Can Global Data Change (GDC) delete just MFHDs (holdings)?

    Answer

Yes.  The "Delete" record disposition consequence can be used to delete "empty" MFHDs (holdings records without items that have no attachments such as POs or invoices).

The "Delete All" record disposition consequence can be used to delete MFHDs with their associated items (but which, again, have no attachments such as POs or invoices).

Support strongly recommends previewing all data changes before committing them to the database.

When using "Delete All" records that can not be deleted will be automatically suppressed from OPAC display
