    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 8.2.0

    Symptoms

    • Keyword search index has name 27 characters or greater; viewing records or paging through results after searching results in 504 Gateway Timeout.
    • Keyword search index has name 25 characters. Able to view record and page through results. Returning to titles list results in 504 Gateway Timeout.

    Defect Status

Not an issue in Tomcat WebVoyage. Behavior does not impact searching in the Tomcat WebVoyage interface or in Cataloging.
Move to Tomcat WebVoyage interface, or shorten index names to be fewer than 25 characters as workaround.

    Replication steps

    1.  System Administration > Search > Indexes - Keyword Definitions : set an index Name to be 27 characters or greater.
    2.  Open Classic WebVoyage interface > Builder Search.
    3.  Search for a term using the index from step 1.
    4.  Results are returned. Either click on a record to view, or click Next to advance through results.
    5.  After period of minutes, receive "504 Gateway Time-out"

    Workaround

    1. System Administration > Search > Indexes - Keyword Definitions > {impacted index} > Edit
    2. Edit index Name to be < 25 characters.
    3. Save changes.
