    • Product: Voyager
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Multi-Tenant Direct, Dedicated-Direct, Local, TotalCare

    Question

When transfering information from one client to another, does that happen all client side?  (e.g. in Cataloging using "View line items in Acquisitions" to open information in Acquisitions client)

    Answer

There is some communication happening between the clients - Cataloging tells Acquisitions to request data for the record currently displayed in Cataloging. But for Acquisitions to display the line item data, it still communicates with the database on the server to retrieve the information.
