Ensure materials due on days library is closed (Voyager calendar exception dates) do not come due on those days

Question
Ensure that items due on days that library is closed (Voyager calendar "exception dates") do not come due on those days.
Answer
"Count Closed Days/Hours/Minutes For Loans" allows items to be due on closed days on calendar. If you do not want items to be due on closed days:
- Go into SysAdmin > Circulation > Policy Definitions > [select definition] > Edit > Policies
- Uncheck the box for "Count Closed Days/Hours/Minutes For Loans" (this is the default)
OR
Manually edit due dates in Circulation when loan dates calculate to Closed day on calendar.
Additional Information
This means that not counting closed days only makes a difference when a loan is to come due on a closed day. In other words, a 10 day loan would be due in 10 calendar days regardless of whether some of those days were closed days. The loan would only be extended if the 10th day of the loan were a closed day.
Note there is also a "Count Closed Days/Hours/Minutes for Fine" checkbox as well. When unchecked closed days/hours/minutes will not be used when calculating the overdue fine when an item is returned late.
See Chapter 5, Table 5-14, in the Voyager System Administration User's Guide.
