    Symptoms

    • HKEY searches in cataloging result in "Search failed"
    • log.voyager contains errors resembling:

    catsvr[29802] - THEWORKS - Fri May 20 15:54:39 2016

            - SQLError - search_sql__ppc.cxx[157]
            Function code: 4  query="select b.bib_id ,b.mfhd_id from bib_mfhd b ,table (voy_search_parse.ParseBE4byte(:b0)) i where (b.mfhd_id=i.column_value and ROWNUM<:b1)"

    • Oracle alert log contains error ORA-00600

     

    Cause

    Duplication of the voy_search_parse object is causing the failure of searches dependent on the voy_search_parse package.

    Resolution

    Duplicate packages in the database must be removed in the database. Open a case with Voyager support to remove duplicate packages.
